Warner Bros. Games is shutting down its mobile title, Mortal Kombat: Onslaught, less than a year after its launch. The game was removed from the Google Play Store and App Store on July 22nd, 2024. In-app purchases were disabled on August 23rd, 2024, and the servers will finally be switched off on October 21st, 2024.
The exact reasons for the closure remain unannounced. However, NetherRealm's recent decision to close its mobile games division, which also oversaw Mortal Kombat Mobile and Injustice, suggests a broader strategic shift.
