WoW Announces Second Timewalking Event: Turbulent Timeways

World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Turbulent Timeways Returns!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. Prepare for a nostalgic journey through WoW's history, earning exciting rewards along the way.

This extended event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023. Players can once again earn Timewarped Badges, a significant experience buff (Mastery of Timeways), and complete various quests and activities within each Timewalking expansion. Completing four Timewalking dungeons unlocks the Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience boost.

The Grand Timewalking Tour:

This year's Turbulent Timeways event covers seven expansions, each featured for a week:

• January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
• January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
• January 21-27: Legion
• January 28-February 3: Classic
• February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
• February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
• February 18-24: Cataclysm

Rewards Galore:

Achieving Mastery of Timeways in five out of the seven weeks grants the coveted Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, rewarding players with the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors have also stocked new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. The Sandy Shalewing pet, previously available only during the initial Turbulent Timeways event, is also making a return. Furthermore, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest yields Heroic-level gear throughout the event's duration.

A Busy Start to 2025:

The conclusion of the Turbulent Timeways event on February 24th hints at future WoW plans. Considering Blizzard's typical release schedule and the holiday season, this strongly suggests a February 25th launch for Patch 11.1, Undermined. With the Turbulent Timeways, the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th - February 17th), and The War Within's imminent major content update, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for a thrilling start to 2025.
