Yakuza Merch: Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones & More

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans decide on its next official merchandise! Fans can choose from a whopping 100 items, with the top two vote-getters slated for production within the next two years. The voting, currently available only on the official Japanese website, offers a diverse range of options.

While some choices are more conventional, such as a 20th-anniversary hoodie or a Yakuza-themed pencil case, many others draw inspiration from the series' famously eccentric history. These include truly unique items like the cult outfit worn by Munan Suzuki in Yakuza 0, the oversized traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants."

The selection also features iconic props and accessories: Majima's sake from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4, to name a few.

2025 marks not only the 20th anniversary but also sees the release of Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean (sic) on February 21st. While the studio hasn't announced any other anniversary projects yet, their prolific output hints at further surprises. In the past five years alone, RGG Studio has released Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, along with two Super Monkey Ball games and an enhanced Virtua Fighter 5 remaster—a total of nine games! This impressive track record suggests that another significant release in 2025 wouldn't be unexpected.
