Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection Brings Classic Games to Modern Platforms

Konami is celebrating Yu-Gi-Oh!'s 25th anniversary with the upcoming release of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection for Nintendo Switch and Steam. This nostalgic package will feature a selection of classic Game Boy era titles, updated for modern audiences.

The initial lineup includes:

  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2

While previously announced, Konami confirms this is just the first wave; a total of ten classic games are planned for the collection. The full roster will be revealed at a later date.

These original releases lacked features common in modern games. Konami addresses this by adding online battle support, save/load functionality, and online co-op where applicable. Expect quality-of-life improvements, button customization, and adjustable background settings to enhance the experience.
