If you're a fan of city life and public transportation, welcome to Proton Bus Urbano—the ultimate bus simulator with endless customization possibilities! Originally launched in 2017, this classic urban-focused game has evolved into much more over the years.

The modding system is now light-years ahead, offering advanced animations for buttons, rain effects, windshield wipers, and more. The community has already created hundreds of buses, with even more in the pipeline. We’ll be releasing several new bus mods soon, some of which are currently in development. To keep things manageable, only your favorite buses stay within the game as mods, ensuring optimal storage space. Older, non-animated buses are being reintroduced as separate mods over the coming months.

In 2020, we introduced a groundbreaking map-modding system—a rarity in mobile gaming. While creating maps requires a computer, they can run smoothly on most mobile devices with sufficient RAM. Although the original routes remain intact, the emphasis is shifting toward custom map creation, making these older routes a thing of the past.

This simulator is FREE, with additional perks for PAID USERS. You can enjoy the full experience without spending a dime in the free version—we don’t chase profits just for the sake of it. However, if you truly love the project and appreciate its development, consider becoming a paid user. Benefits include ad-free gameplay, exclusive features like virtual mirrors, cruise control, 360-degree screenshots, and more. Most features, including nearly all buses, are entirely free.

Think of it as a simulator rather than a traditional game. Focus on driving, picking up passengers, and enjoying the mechanics. Since it’s a complex simulation, there are numerous controls and settings to master. Before jumping in, check out tutorials or videos online to avoid frustration. For instance, pressing "N" before selecting gears makes moving the bus easier. Don’t forget to release the parking brake! Always read setting descriptions carefully, as some options work better on specific devices.

Available on both PC and Android, the PC version offers superior graphics thanks to more powerful hardware. Performance tweaks are possible through various settings. Ensure you have a modern mid-to-high-end device with at least 4GB of RAM for optimal performance. If your device struggles, try older versions or adjust settings accordingly. Note that 64-bit Unity applications for Android may cause performance issues; downloading the 32-bit APK might resolve this.

Mods can be downloaded via searches for "Proton Bus mods" or directly through the in-game button. Installation requires a file manager, but the community is always ready to assist. Advanced features are primarily tested on Samsung Galaxy S9, while basic ones work on J7 Prime. Older phones with less than 2GB RAM aren’t ideal, but you can attempt manual installation via APK/OBB files at your own risk.
