"Limbus Company: Guide to Leveling Up Sinners"

In Limbus Company, the levels of your Sinners are crucial for enhancing their combat prowess. Just like in other RPGs, leveling up your team is essential for tackling tougher challenges and progressing through the game. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities can struggle against enemies if they're underleveled. For newcomers eager to boost their characters' XP, here's a comprehensive guide on the best strategies.

As we anticipate the release of Ananta and Neverness To Everness, the allure of a stylish anime game without the gacha mechanics becomes more appealing. While HoYoVerse games satisfy my gacha cravings, the prospect of a triple-A experience akin to these, but free from RNG monetization, is incredibly enticing.

Combat and Grinding --------------------

For new players, the primary method of earning XP is through combat. All Sinners on your team will gain XP after successfully clearing a battle, whether they participated or not, though active fighters receive more XP. However, this method can be slow, especially as battles get tougher, necessitating more efficient leveling strategies.

Upon reaching the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock Luxcavation mode, allowing you to challenge specific enemies for various rewards. While the battles themselves provide a good amount of XP, the real advantage lies in the consumable items you can acquire, which are invaluable for leveling up.

Using Consumable Items

If grinding for XP manually isn't your style, Limbus Company offers consumable items like Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets to expedite the leveling process. These items come in different rarities and are designed specifically to boost your Sinners' Identities.

Identity Training Tickets

Identity Training Tickets provide a direct increase in an Identity's XP. Similar to level-up materials in games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact, these tickets significantly reduce the time needed to level up. They come in four tiers, each offering a progressively higher XP boost:

  • Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP

These tickets can be farmed primarily from EXP Luxcavation stages, and are also available through the free and paid Limbus Passes, as well as periodic attendance check events.

Level Boost Tickets

Level Boost Tickets offer a shortcut by instantly raising your Sinners' Identities to a predetermined level, bypassing the need for XP. These are rarer and more valuable than Identity Training Tickets, obtained mainly through the Limbus Pass and occasionally during attendance check events. They cannot be farmed. The different levels achievable with these tickets are:

  • Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
  • Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
  • Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
  • Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40

Currently, the maximum level for Identities is 50. To efficiently level up multiple characters, consider a balanced use of both Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets.

To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
