While numerous chess AI mobile games exist, only ChessCraft empowers players to design imaginative boards and pieces while facing a competent computer opponent.

Design unique pieces using combinations of 8-direction bishop or rook movements, plus a 7x7 grid of knight-style jumps. Pieces can also strengthen or limit adjacent units. Build custom boards with enabled/disabled tiles up to 16x16 dimensions. Set promotion rules for any piece on any square. Implement special tile mechanics including witch windows (teleporters), sanctuaries, and more. The AI opponent utilizes computer science and graph theory principles to comprehend your designs and compete effectively.

Shared boards enable friends to challenge your AI. Each shared creation generates a dedicated web page, like this example:

ChessCraft delivers complete features without ads, supported by occasional prompts to upgrade to ChessCraft Patron. Patrons enjoy uninterrupted gameplay. Educators, students, and those facing financial constraints can request special access codes via email.
