Damasi Rules

* Played on an 8×8 board, each side starts with 16 pieces arranged in two rows, leaving the back row empty.

* Pieces can move one square forward or sideways and capture by jumping over an opponent's piece, but they cannot move backwards. A piece that reaches the opponent’s back row is promoted to a king at the end of that turn. Kings can move any number of squares forward, backward, or sideways, and capture by jumping over enemy pieces along a clear path.

* Captured pieces are removed immediately. If a jump is available, the player must take it. When multiple jump options exist, the player must choose the one that captures the most pieces. Both regular pieces and kings count as one piece during capture. If several moves capture the same maximum number, the player may choose freely.

* The game ends when a player cannot make a legal move—either all pieces are captured or the player is completely blocked. The opponent then wins the game.

* Unlike many draughts variations, since pieces are removed immediately after capture, a single square can be crossed more than once during a multi-capture sequence.

* During a multi-capture move, a piece is not allowed to turn 180 degrees between jumps.
