Alan Wake 2 Surpasses Sales Milestone, Reaching Profitability

Alan Wake 2 surpasses 2 million global sales, exceeding initial projections. This surpasses the 1.3 million units sold between October 2023 and March 2024, a period where Remedy Entertainment celebrated it as their fastest-selling title.

Remedy's recent investor report attributes this success, alongside the launch of the Lake House expansion and the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition, to the commencement of royalty accrual following the recovery of development and marketing expenses.

The studio also provided updates on upcoming projects: Control 2, a collaboration with Annapurna Interactive, is nearing completion of its pre-production phase and will enter full production by late February 2025. Similarly, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is progressing steadily in full production.

FBC: Firebreak, Remedy's multiplayer Control spin-off, remains in full production following a successful December closed technical test evaluating matchmaking and backend infrastructure. While a release date is yet to be announced, self-publishing by Remedy is planned for later in 2025.
