Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has responded to player feedback and reversed a recent change to the Zombies Directed Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The January 3rd update introduced alterations to the Citadelle des Morts map's Directed Mode, extending the time between rounds and delaying zombie spawns after five looped rounds. This proved unpopular with the community, hindering kill farming and camo challenge completion.
The January 9th update addresses these concerns directly by reverting the spawn delay change, restoring it to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds. Further fixes target bugs and glitches within Citadelle des Morts' Directed Mode, improving quest progression and resolving issues with stamps. Visual effects glitches and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud have also been addressed.
Significant buffs to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod are included in this update. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment) have been increased, and the cooldown timer reduced by 25%.
The patch notes also highlight upcoming changes. Season 2, launching January 28th, will bring additional bug fixes and adjustments. Until then, players can still complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest to earn rewards before Season 1 Reloaded concludes.
