Bullseye's Impact in Marvel Snap: Snap or Pass?

Author : Connor Update:Apr 12,2025

Meet Bullseye, the timeless yet slightly out-of-date comic book icon. In the world of comics, there's no shortage of villains sporting tight costumes with quirky themes, acting bizarrely and looking downright ridiculous. But Bullseye? He's the quintessential comic book classic you can't help but love.

Bullseye: A Closer Look

Bullseye is the epitome of a sadistic, murderous psychopath with a ruthless sense of purpose. Known by aliases such as Benjamin Poindexter or Lester, his true identity remains shrouded in mystery. Much like Hawkeye, Bullseye is "human," relying solely on his natural talents rather than any superhuman genes. This "peak human" status in Marvel Comics means he can turn everyday objects like throwing knives, pens, paperclips, or his signature razor playing cards into lethal weapons.

Despite his straightforward approach, Bullseye excels as a hired mercenary, boasting an impressive danger-to-costume ratio. Throughout the Marvel Universe, he's left a trail of bodies, famously taking down Elektra and stepping into Hawkeye's shoes in the Dark Avengers. His lethal precision and business acumen make him a formidable foe.

What Does He Do?

Bullseye's skill set is all about flinging objects with deadly precision. In SNAP, he uses your weakest cards (no more than 1-Cost) to deliver a devastating -2 Power hit to your opponent's cards. Each card strikes a different target, showcasing his impeccable aim and sadistic nature. With the right timing using Activate, Bullseye can clear your hand at the most opportune moment.

His ability meshes perfectly with Discard synergies like Scorn or Swarm, ensuring you always have cards ready to discard when activating Bullseye. While Daken only provides one target, the potential for additional targeting remains. Bullseye thus becomes a valuable controlled discard outlet, boosting the likes of Morbius or Miek. His multi-card discard can amplify the impact of a MODOK/Swarm play on turn 5, supercharging your strategies.

Be wary of his weaknesses, though. Luke Cage can render Bullseye's threats useless, and Red Guardian can disrupt your carefully planned Discard turns. Plan wisely to maximize Bullseye's impact as a mercenary marksman.

Bullseye Decks on Day One

Bullseye finds his natural home in the classic Discard deck, enhancing the synergy with Scorn and Swarm. By focusing on Swarm, incorporating cards like Collector, Victoria Hand, and Moonstone, you can capitalize on Bullseye's potential for massive Discard turns. Gambit, with his card-throwing prowess, adds another layer of power to swing unfavorable games in your favor.

For those daring to experiment, pairing Bullseye with Daken offers a high-risk, high-reward strategy. Bullseye's controlled discard can buff multiple Daken copies and discard multiple Shards, adding consistency to your deck's combo potential. It's a long shot, but if you're after an extravagant, absurd victory, it might just embody Bullseye's spirit.

Verdict

Integrating Bullseye into your SNAP decks may prove challenging due to the intricacies of playing around Activate. His effect is potent but limited, requiring careful deck-building to maximize his potential. Nonetheless, Bullseye's flashy character and significant contribution to Discard decks, especially those focused on Swarm and Scorn, make him a compelling addition to any player's arsenal.
