Black Ops 6 Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed by Treyarch
Treyarch Studios has confirmed that a much-requested feature – in-game challenge tracking – is currently under development for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This follows player disappointment that the feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was absent from Black Ops 6.
While no release date has been announced, the upcoming Season 2 update later this month suggests a potential timeframe for its arrival. This would be a welcome addition for players, particularly those pursuing Mastery camos.
Recent Black Ops 6 Update and Community Feedback
A January 9th update addressed various bug fixes for Multiplayer and Zombies modes. A key change involved reverting a controversial Zombies alteration from the January 3rd update. Following significant community backlash, Treyarch removed extended round times and delays in Directed Mode.
Community Requests and Treyarch's Response
Treyarch's confirmation of the challenge tracking feature came in response to a fan's Twitter inquiry. The studio indicated the feature is "currently in the works." This mirrors the functionality in Modern Warfare 3, allowing players to monitor progress towards challenge completion, such as weapon camos, within the in-game UI.
Furthermore, Treyarch acknowledged another significant request: separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies. The developer stated that this feature is "also in the works." These developments highlight Treyarch's responsiveness to player feedback and commitment to enhancing the Black Ops 6 experience.
