Breakable Parts: Tail and Forelegs
Recommended Elemental Attacks: Fire and Lightning
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items: Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Using Flash Pods
Despite its size, the Doshaguma is surprisingly agile, making it a difficult target for melee weapons. A Flash Pod temporarily blinds the monster, providing a crucial window for attacks or even mounting.
Targeting Weak Points
Focus your attacks on the Doshaguma's forelegs (3-star weakness) for maximum damage. While its head also boasts a 3-star weakness, its back legs are less vulnerable (2-star weakness). Remember, the tail is breakable, yielding valuable materials.
Elemental Advantage
Exploit the Doshaguma's weaknesses with fire and lightning attacks. Bowgun users should utilize Flaming and Thunder ammo, while melee users can equip fire-enhancing decorations. Fire attacks are most effective on the head and torso, while lightning is best directed at the head.
Blastblight Awareness
The Doshaguma inflicts Blastblight, causing you to explode if the gauge fills or you receive a heavy hit. Counter this with Nulberries, Deodorant, or by performing up to three dodge rolls.
Strategic Trap Usage
Utilize environmental traps to your advantage. Remember to sheath your weapon before using your slinger and ensure the Doshaguma is directly above the trap before activating it.

Capturing the Doshaguma
For a capture, reduce the Doshaguma's HP to 20% or less. Set a Shock or Pitfall Trap and lure the monster into it using Luring Ammo or meat. Once trapped, repeatedly use tranquilizer ammo until it faints.
Remember to eat a hearty meal before the hunt for beneficial buffs. Good luck!
