Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming, is set to undergo a transformative update that will remove troop training times entirely. Imagine deploying your army almost instantly, diving into battles without the wait. This change marks a significant evolution for the game, allowing players to engage more quickly and fluidly than ever before. However, it's crucial to act fast if you have Training Potions or Treats; these items are on the way out and must be used before they're converted to Gems at the end of the month.
As we reflect on Clash of Clans, it's clear that while the game retains its iconic status, it also shows signs of age. Supercell, aware of this, has been steadily modernizing the experience. The removal of troop, spell, and siege unit training times is the latest and perhaps the most impactful of these updates. Following the elimination of training costs in 2022, this move further streamlines gameplay, enhancing the overall player experience.
Starting today, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. You can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass, but be quick about using them. Supercell is also rolling out a new feature called Match Anytime, allowing you to attack a snapshot of another player's base when no live opponents are available. This means you can still earn rewards, and importantly, players whose bases are used won't lose anything if defeated. This system, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now be a standard feature.
Alongside these changes, Army Donations will now require Elixirs or Dark Elixirs, adding another layer of strategy to the game. For a comprehensive look at all the updates, head over to the Supercell blog.
