Want to use or mute voice chat in Monster Hunter Wilds? While it's a multiplayer game, you're not obligated to chat. But if you want to, and aren't using Discord or similar services, here's how to manage in-game voice chat.

All voice chat settings are in the game's audio options. Navigate to the options menu (either in-game or on the main menu screen) and select the third tab from the right. Scroll down to find the Voice Chat settings. You'll see three options: Enable, Disable, and Push-to-Talk. "Enable" keeps voice chat constantly on; "Disable" turns it off completely; and "Push-to-Talk" activates voice chat only when you press a designated keyboard key (keyboard only).
Further options control voice chat volume and auto-toggling. Voice chat auto-toggle prioritizes voice chat with either your current quest members, your link party members, or disables automatic switching. Quest members are those currently in your active hunt; this is likely the most useful setting. Link members are those in your link party, ideal if assisting someone through the story, as it allows for easier communication during cutscenes.
