While the Primitive weekly challenge in *Phasmophobia* might make you feel like you've traveled back to the Stone Age, our prehistoric ancestors probably never had to deal with spectral visitors. This unique test forces us to investigate ghostly phenomena without any modern electronics – but is survival possible under these conditions?

Complete Guide: Phasmophobia's Primitive Challenge

The Primitive Challenge stands as one of *Phasmophobia*'s most demanding weekly tests. As the name implies, hunters must identify the ghost and complete objectives without electronic devices, forcing heavy reliance on observational skills and ghost behavior knowledge.
This challenge takes place at 10 Ridgeview Court, a house-style map offering better navigation and hiding spots compared to larger locations. Remember: like all weekly challenges, you must successfully complete three investigations to fulfill all requirements.
Key Strategies for Mastering Primitive Challenge
Understanding the modified rules and conditions is crucial for this challenge. Your most significant limitation is the complete absence of electronics – which eliminates most standard equipment.
Critical investigation tools like Flashlights, Video Cameras, and DOTs Projectors are unavailable (as shown below).

Sanity Medications have also been removed, though you begin with maximum Sanity for temporary protection. Your equipment includes two Tier 1 Crucifixes (preventing up to two hunts if positioned correctly), Tier 2 Firelights, and Tier 1 Incense for additional safety.
For evidence collection, options are extremely limited: two Tier 3 Ghost Writing books, two Tier 1 UV glowsticks (serving dual purpose as light sources), and two Tier 1 thermometers for detecting freezing temperatures.
Identifying ghosts requires keen observation of behavioral patterns – our evidence-free ghost identification guide can prove invaluable. An alternative approach involves using the provided Cursed Object: an Ouija Board located in the first-floor laundry room (left of dining area). Asking "What is your favorite room?" reveals the ghost's location, but costs 50% Sanity. Always remember to say "Goodbye" to prevent board breaks and cursed hunts – especially crucial for team players.

Since you can't access the fuse box (being electronic), locating the ghost quickly is paramount to minimize time spent in darkness. Fortunately, ghost activity is increased for this challenge. Begin by identifying the ghost room using environmental cues like temperature drops or audible paranormal activity.
Accessing Challenge Mode

To access weekly challenges, first choose Singleplayer or Multiplayer. Navigate to Difficulty Settings (above your profile ID), scroll to 'Challenge Mode', and select 'Apply'. Return to the map selection screen and manually choose 10 Ridgeview Court (the system doesn't auto-select it).
Note: The pre-set loadout cannot be modified and costs nothing. When ready, select 'Ready Up' followed by 'Start' to begin.
Weekly Challenge Reset Timing
Challenges refresh weekly at Midnight UTC on Mondays. North American players can begin on Sunday at these local times:
5:00 PM PST 6:00 PM MST 7:00 PM CST 8:00 PM EST
