Finnish game developer Kuuasema has unveiled Cthulu Keeper, a fresh take on the comedic strategy genre, drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft's eerie tales and echoing the spirit of Bullfrog's 1997 classic, Dungeon Keeper. Currently in development for PC, this game promises an immersive experience set in the shadowy world of the 1920s.
In Cthulu Keeper, players will embark on a dark journey to "build their very own cult and generate fear and chaos around them," as stated by the developers. The game involves constructing a lair, delving into forbidden research, and summoning terrifying Lovecraftian monsters. Players will expand their influence by recruiting cultists, spreading their ideology across the streets, and achieving various objectives. However, the path to domination won't be easy, as rival cults and the authorities will challenge your reign, pushing you to deploy traps and cast spells to safeguard your burgeoning empire.
