How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin's Creed Shadows

To embark on this adventure, you'll need to head to the Omi region, typically accessible around the midpoint of the story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared for the challenges ahead, then make your way northeast to reach Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a significant body of water in the central part of the region. It's advisable to secure a boat from settlements like Azuchi or Omizo, though swimming is also an option if you prefer.

Your target is the larger island in the middle of the lake, just northwest of Azuchi. Upon arriving, you'll discover Okishima Island, which features a Kakurega for resting. The presence of fish being dried near the docks hints at the abundance of food, attracting a certain type of animal.

To immerse yourself among the cats on Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them to add these adorable critters to your collection for use in your Hideout, especially the rare kittens that are difficult to find elsewhere.

While Leaps of Faith usually unveil new locations on your map, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of these feline friends. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there's little else to do but enjoy the company of the cats. You'll also revisit this island later in Yasuke's story, adding another layer of anticipation.
