Funcom has released an enthralling new trailer for Dune: Awakening, their upcoming multiplayer survival game set in the iconic universe of Frank Herbert's "Dune." The trailer showcases the vast, treacherous deserts of Arrakis, highlighting the myriad challenges and opportunities players will encounter in this expansive world.

In Dune: Awakening, exploration is at the heart of survival. Players must traverse the dangerous dunes to collect vital resources needed for crafting shelters and vehicles, including combat-ready ornithopters. To streamline resource gathering, players can use a scanner, and by placing probes on high ground, they can uncover crucial points of interest across the map.

These points of interest include crashed spacecraft and abandoned outposts. Accessing these locations often demands creativity and the use of specialized tools such as grappling hooks, power belts, and other gear. All equipment can be enhanced at the player's base with modular components, ensuring readiness for the perils of Arrakis.

Dune: Awakening will launch in early access on May 20, exclusively for PC. Console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are planned for a later release.
