"Expelled! Game Challenges Players to Clear Name, Catch Culprit"

Author : Joseph Update:Apr 11,2025

In the gripping narrative of *Expelled!*, you find yourself at Miss Mulligatawney's School for Promising Girls, accused of pushing a prefect out of a window. Developed by inkle, the masterminds behind *Overboard!*, this latest mystery game challenges you to clear your name within a single day or find another to take the blame.

Set against the backdrop of April 1922, *Expelled!* immerses you in the life of Verity Amersham, a scholarship student voiced by Amelia Tyler of *Baldur's Gate 3* fame. Verity's life at this elite boarding school has been about staying out of trouble—until now. Accused of attempted murder, she must navigate the school's intricate social dynamics to prove her innocence.

This isn't just about making simple dialogue choices. Every action you take, from where you go to who you talk to and what you say, dynamically influences the unfolding story. NPCs roam the school in real-time, reacting to your moves and conversations. Some may aid your cause, while others might work against you. The question remains: who can you trust?

Your strategy can range from solving the mystery to employing deception and manipulation. Need an alibi? Persuade someone to vouch for you. Desperate? Shift the blame onto someone else. The more you bend the rules, the more avenues for resolution open up.

Each playthrough of *Expelled!* lasts about 30-45 minutes, yet no two experiences are identical. Your choices pave the way to new clues, varied outcomes, and hidden secrets scattered throughout the school. Discover why the cellar is off-limits or what secrets your best friend keeps. If you manage to avoid expulsion, you might even ascend to the prestigious position of Head Girl.

While you anticipate the release, don't miss out on this curated list of the *best narrative games to play on mobile*.

Accompanied by a rich soundtrack featuring jazz icons like George Gershwin, Louis Armstrong, and Bessie Smith, *Expelled!* weaves a tense mystery with a narrative that shifts with your every decision. How you choose to clear your name, and to what lengths you're willing to go, is entirely in your hands.

Mark your calendars: *Expelled!* is set to launch on March 12th, available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
