This Fan-Favorite Sims Character Is Finally Making an Appearance in The Sims 4

Author : Lucas Update:Mar 16,2025

Careful, Simmers! Robin Banks, the infamous Burglar, is back in The Sims 4!

A familiar face (or should we say, mask?) to veteran Sims players, Robin Banks returns as part of a recent update for The Sims 4, available now on PC and consoles. Get ready to safeguard your Sims' valuables! She favors the cover of night and typically targets homes while everyone's asleep, but don't be fooled—a daring daylight heist isn't beyond her capabilities. Stay vigilant!

To thwart this cunning thief, equip your Sim's home with a burglar alarm. Triggering the alarm guarantees a swift police response, leading to Robin's arrest and the recovery of your stolen goods. Even without an alarm, a quick call to the authorities might just save the day. Or, if you prefer a more direct approach… well, vigilante justice is always an option.

Burglary events are designed to be relatively infrequent, but for those who crave chaos, activate the "Heist Havoc" Lot Challenge to significantly increase the odds of a visit from Robin Banks.

The Sims team expressed their excitement, stating, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. A special shout-out to our team for making this happen! Robin Banks isn't just here to rob your Sims' houses—she's here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite being a decade old (The Sims 4, that is), and with the franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary, the game continues to thrive. Last year alone, The Sims 4 attracted over 15 million new players.

EA's Q2 earnings report revealed that the premium version of The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, its transition to free-to-play in 2022 resulted in a staggering 31 million new players immediately, bringing the total player count to 85 million by May 2024. And for those wondering… no, there are currently still no plans for The Sims 5.
