The PC version of the game not only boasts significantly enhanced visuals compared to its PS5 counterpart but also offers a more stable performance, sparking discussions within the gaming community about the necessity for an update on Sony's console.
Currently, players on the PS5 are experiencing blurry visuals when using performance mode, leaving base console owners with no choice but to await future patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi has acknowledged that improvements are feasible within the technical boundaries of the PS5.
"Following the release of the PC version's promotional material, we've been inundated with requests for a similar update for the PS5 version. We're considering this, aiming to enhance the PS5 experience as much as the platform's performance allows," Hamaguchi stated.
The gaming community is eager for Square Enix to respond to these fan requests and elevate the visual quality on consoles.
Despite the team's focus on developing the sequel, Hamaguchi has urged fans to remain patient, promising more information in the near future. He highlighted that 2024 was a banner year for Final Fantasy Rebirth, the second installment of the trilogy, which garnered global attention and numerous accolades. As the developers prepare for the third installment of Final Fantasy VII, they face unique challenges in their efforts to expand the game's audience.
Interestingly, Hamaguchi also expressed his admiration for Grand Theft Auto VI this year, extending his support to the Rockstar Games team. He acknowledged the immense pressure they face following the phenomenal success of GTA V.
