Fortnite Hunters (Chapter 6 Season 1) brings back the fan-favorite Kinetic Blade from Chapter 4 Season 2. This isn't the only Katana option though; players can also wield the Typhoon Blade, introduced earlier this season. This guide covers locating and using the Kinetic Blade, helping you decide if it's a superior choice to the Typhoon Blade.
How to Find the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite
The Kinetic Blade appears in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. Search for it as floor loot or within standard and Rare chests.
Currently, the Kinetic Blade's drop rate seems relatively low. The absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands (unlike the Typhoon Blade) further complicates its discovery.
How to Use the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite
The Kinetic Blade is a melee weapon offering swift movement and surprising attacks.
Unlike the Typhoon Blade, which requires sprinting for speed boosts, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack to lunge forward, dealing 60 damage on a direct hit. This dash can be used up to three times before needing a recharge.
Alternatively, the Knockback Slash inflicts 35 damage and knocks back opponents. A well-timed Knockback Slash can send enemies tumbling, potentially resulting in fall damage and even elimination.
