Square Enix Announces Foamstars Free-to-Play Launch on October 4th

No More PlayStation Plus Subscription Required

Foamstars, Square Enix's Answer to Splatoon 3, Goes Free-to-Play In a recent support page update, Square Enix revealed that Foamstars will transition to a free-to-play model. This means no PlayStation Plus subscription is needed to play. Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, the game will be available for free download starting October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC.

A "Legacy Gift" awaits players who purchased Foamstars before the switch. This exclusive bundle includes:

12 unique Bubble Beastie skins
1 special Slide Board design
The "Legacy" title
