Get ready to dive into the exciting world of *GIRLS’ FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM*, the eagerly awaited sequel that promises a fresh narrative, stunning graphics, and a refined gameplay system. One of the key features you'll encounter is the Gacha system, a crucial mechanic for advancing in the game. By using this system, you can acquire powerful new characters and weapons, which can significantly boost your squad's performance. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the intricacies of the Gacha system, exploring its mechanics and the various types of banners available.
Understanding the Mechanics of the Gacha System
The Gacha system in *GIRLS’ FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM* revolves around a randomized loot box mechanism, allowing you to summon for rewards such as characters and weapons. These summons are made using different types of in-game currency, including:
- Access Permissions
- Special Access Permissions
- Event-specific Gacha Currency (earned through special events)
The odds of obtaining various rarities of T-dolls and weapons are outlined below:
- SSR T-dolls – 0.3% chance of summoning
- SSR Weapons – 0.3% chance of summoning
- SR T-dolls – 3% chance of summoning
- SR Weapons – 3% chance of summoning
All banners allow you to summon both T-dolls and weapons, as they are mixed pools. We'll further explore the different types of gacha banners you'll encounter.
Beginner Procurement Banner
Designed for new players, the Beginner Procurement Banner offers a significant head start. You can perform up to 50 pulls on this banner, and thanks to a "pity" system, you're guaranteed an SSR character within those 50 pulls. The pity system kicks in during the last ten pulls if you haven't received an SSR yet.
The drop rates for this banner are:
- SSR characters – 0.6% chance
- SR characters and weapons – 6% chance
Additionally, the pity system ensures an SR character or weapon every 10 pulls, and an SSR character every 80 pulls. If you don't pull the featured character on your first SSR, the second SSR will always be the rate-up character (this is known as hard pity at 160 pulls). Soft pity begins with the 58th draw. Importantly, pity does not carry over to other banners.
