HBO has shared the initial look at this eagerly awaited series, which stars Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart. Although neither actor is seen in the iconic emerald green suit, eagle-eyed fans can spot a Power Ring on Chandler's hand, hinting at the superhero action to come.

"Lanterns" is set to be a thrilling detective drama, drawing inspiration from acclaimed series such as "True Detective" and "Slow Horses." The show will follow Chandler's Hal Jordan and Pierre's John Stewart as they team up to investigate a murder that spirals into a deeper, more sinister mystery. This series is a confirmed part of James Gunn's expansive DC universe, which also includes "Creature Commandos" and the upcoming "Superman" and "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" films.
