Master the Dual Outfit Technique in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered!
This guide details how to combine the benefits of two outfits in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, leveraging its transmog feature to enhance your gameplay. This method is exclusive to the Remastered version; it's unavailable in the original game.
Remastered Version Required:
The dual outfit technique relies on the Remastered edition's transmog feature, allowing you to equip the appearance of one outfit while retaining the stats and effects of another.
Outfit Requirements:
This method requires one freely chosen outfit and one of the following three Banuk Werak outfits from the Frozen Wilds DLC:
- Banuk Werak Runner
- Banuk Werak Chieftain
- Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)
Note: Access to the Frozen Wilds DLC is necessary, but completing the main game isn't required.
Acquiring the Banuk Werak Outfits:
Banuk Werak Runner: Reach the Frozen Wilds, defeat the initial machine (adjust difficulty if needed), and purchase the outfit from a Bluegleam Merchant (blue merchant icon). Resource costs:
Resource | Normal Cost | Ultra Hard Cost |
---|---|---|
Metal Shards | 1000 | 5000 |
Desert Glass | 10 | 20 |
Slagshine Glass | 10 | 20 |
Banuk Werak Chieftain & Chieftain Adept: Complete the "For the Werak" quest (third main quest in Frozen Wilds DLC). Consider lowering difficulty for easier completion. The Adept version is only available in New Game Plus.
Combining Outfit Effects:
- Equip your primary outfit: Choose the outfit with the desired stats, potentially enhanced with Weaves.
- Use Transmog: Apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits using the transmog feature.
- Benefit from both: Retain your primary outfit's stats while gaining the auto-healing effect of the Banuk Werak outfit. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer faster healing than the Runner. Combining this with an outfit like the Shield Weaver makes you incredibly resilient.
Enjoy the enhanced survivability and customization options offered by this powerful technique!
