HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero continues its impressive ascent in the mobile gaming market. The recent 1.4 update, aptly titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily player spending on mobile devices alone—surpassing even its impressive launch numbers from July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's total mobile revenue has already soared past $265 million. Update 1.4's success can be attributed to a combination of factors: the introduction of new agents like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, along with significant improvements to game mechanics, new locations, and exciting new game modes. These additions clearly resonated with players, encouraging increased spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, played a significant role in driving this record revenue.
HoYoverse's strategic update rollout also contributed to Zenless Zone Zero's sustained success. Unlike typical post-update spending patterns, which often see a sharp decline after a week, revenues remained above $1 million daily for over 11 days and stayed above $500,000 even two weeks after the update's release.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in terms of overall revenue.
