Understanding how to obtain and utilize these resources is key to mastering the game. This guide clarifies their acquisition and application. How to Get & Use Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker
Bright Blood, the most common resource, is earned by defeating enemies, destroying objects, and opening crates in the Overgrowth. Selling gear to Hub vendors also yields Bright Blood.
Its uses include:
- Looting Blades and Rails from corpses in the Overgrowth.
- Opening Stashes and crates in the Overgrowth.
- Purchasing gear from Overgrowth and Hub vendors.
- Upgrading gear at Hub vendors.
How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker
Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. Early game, this usually means dying four times and using all Rezes. After depleting your Rezes, an NPC near the Hub's Telepad will be available to reset the Overgrowth, progressing towards Gold Ration acquisition.
Gold Rations are vital for meta-progression. They unlock permanent upgrades via Pherus Bit in the Hub and grant access to new vendor services.
How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker
Abyss Stones are obtained by defeating Crowns, challenging bosses found through Overgrowth gates. Remember, you'll need to collect Prisms (marked by yellow diamonds on the map) before facing Crowns.
Similar to Gold Rations, Abyss Stones are for meta-progression. Use them to upgrade Sycom stats and unlock new characters during loadout confirmation before entering the Overgrowth.
How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker
Keys are occasionally found in small, unmarked containers within the Overgrowth.
Their function is to bypass barriers, accessing Stashes and other containers, and entering Labs—subterranean areas with enemies and loot.
How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker
Extremely important, MediGems are earned by interacting with glowing flowers in the Overgrowth. They are exchanged for Medkits upon deploying from the Hub's Telepad or visiting Shrines.
You must first expand your Medkit capacity to one using a Gold Ration at Pherus Bit in the Hub.
How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker
Cores, another meta-progression resource, are sometimes found in Stashes (marked by chest icons) or by combining four Core Shards. Shards are obtained from enemies that drop Prisms and from unmarked objects like bone piles.
Cores upgrade your Sycom during loadout confirmation, boosting Breaker stats.
How to Get & Use Material in Hyper Light Breaker
Materials are primarily gained by using Bright Blood to open small chests (often marked with gems) in the Overgrowth, and also by selling gear at the Hub.
They are used to purchase gear from Hub and Overgrowth vendors, functioning similarly to Bright Blood but with more limited applications.
