Maintaining footwear in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is crucial; worn-out shoes leave you vulnerable. This guide details acquiring and repairing shoes.
Acquiring Shoes:
Your initial shoes won't last forever. Fortunately, replenishing your footwear is straightforward. New shoes can be found as loot from enemies (poachers, etc.) or discovered within chests. Alternatively, purchase them from vendors.
Tailors sometimes sell shoes, but cobblers offer superior quality footwear. Locate a cobbler (their map icon resembles three red circles) – one is available early in Trosky. Cobblers, like Matthew in Trosky, also sell horse equipment, blacksmithing kits, and cobbler's kits.
Repairing Shoes:
Shoe repair options are plentiful. Cobblers and blacksmiths offer repair services; the cost varies depending on your Craftsmanship skill level (perks provide discounts).
Self-repair is possible, contingent on your Craftsmanship skill. Insufficient skill prevents repairs. A Cobbler's Kit is required for self-repair. These kits are obtainable from various vendors (cobblers, blacksmiths), chests, and looted NPCs.
To use a Cobbler's Kit, access your inventory, select the kit, and use the interact button (typically "E" on PC). A repair menu appears; faded items indicate insufficient skill. Select items and use the interact button again to repair. Blacksmith's Kits function similarly for other equipment. While self-repair is an option, utilizing vendor repair services remains a viable strategy for maintaining your gear.
