LEGO enthusiasts and Jurassic Park fans, get ready for a thrilling addition to your collection: the biggest Jurassic World set to date. Introducing the LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex, a stunning T-rex skeleton that stretches over three feet in length. This set is a must-have for fans of the original Jurassic Park movie, as it features the iconic T-rex skeleton that was prominently displayed in the visitor center. Accompanying the skeleton are minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, bringing a piece of the movie right into your home.
Priced at $249.99, this set will be available starting March 12 for LEGO Insiders at the LEGO Store (sign up for free here) and March 15 for everyone else. With 3,145 pieces, it's designed for adults aged 18+, offering a sophisticated building experience that may include advanced techniques. This set is more about display than play, making it a perfect centerpiece for any Jurassic Park fan's collection.

Understanding the scale of this set can be challenging from photos alone, but the included minifigures of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler provide a helpful reference. When fully assembled, the skeleton spans over three feet, and its skull is remarkably similar to the LEGO T-rex skull currently available (which I've seen my son build, and it looks fantastic). The complete skeleton adds a dramatic effect, truly capturing the essence of the upcoming set.

This impressive set features articulated joints, allowing you to pose the T-rex skeleton in various dynamic positions. The head and jaw move, and the arms and tail can be adjusted to your liking. Like many LEGO sets inspired by movies, this one includes several hidden Easter eggs for builders to discover. It also comes with a display stand and an informational plaque detailing the T-rex's diet, habitat, and more.

While LEGO's Jurassic World collection may not yet rival the size of their Star Wars or Harry Potter lines, it's rapidly expanding. As a fan, I'm excited to see more adult-oriented sets like this T-rex skeleton included in future releases.
