The acclaimed French studio Don't Nod, known for their work on *Life is Strange*, has just launched the first chapter of their latest narrative-driven adventure. Fans can now immerse themselves in *Tape 1*, with *Tape 2* set to be available at no additional cost to all purchasers starting April 15.

First announced in 2023, this game weaves a tale around a tight-knit group of friends whose bond was mysteriously shattered during the summer of 1995. Fast forward 27 years, and the specters of that fateful summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and chilling repercussions.

Crafted with inspiration from classics like *It*, *Yellowjackets*, and *I Know What You Did Last Summer*, the game seamlessly melds the warmth of nostalgia with the intensity of a psychological thriller. Divided into two distinct segments—*Bloom* and *Rage*—the narrative unfolds in a gripping manner. As of today, February 18, gamers can experience the first half of this haunting journey.

The much-anticipated second installment, dubbed "The Tape," is now scheduled for release on April 15. Initially planned for a March release, the delay aims to deliver a more refined and immersive experience to players.

With the review embargo now lifted, *OpenCritic* has aggregated an impressive average critic score of 74/100, signaling a promising debut for this enthralling mystery.
