MCU Rivals: Season 1 Balance Updates Revealed

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Major Balance Changes

Marvel Rivals' Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, promises a major content update. This season introduces Dracula as the primary antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the playable roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debut immediately, followed by the Human Torch and the Thing six to seven weeks later.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Three new maps and a new game mode, "Doom Match," will also be introduced.

A recent developer update highlighted significant balance adjustments. Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overpowered in Season 0, will receive nerfs. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will get buffs to improve their battlefield effectiveness. Wolverine and Storm will also receive buffs, encouraging more strategic use, while Cloak and Dagger will see improvements to their synergy with diverse team compositions. Adjustments to Jeff the Land Shark are also planned to better align his early warning indicators with his ultimate's hitbox. While his ultimate's power level has been a point of discussion, NetEase Games hasn't detailed specific changes.

The impact of Season 1 on the Seasonal Bonus feature remains unannounced, a point of interest for players who have expressed mixed opinions on its effect on game balance. Overall, Season 1 promises a wealth of new content and significant gameplay adjustments, generating considerable player anticipation.
