Reports surfaced on January 11, 2025, indicating Amazon is canceling pre-orders for the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Affected customers are receiving emails notifying them of the cancellation due to "lack of availability," with assurances of full refunds within one to two business days.
While disappointing for fans who pre-ordered since the game's 2017 announcement, the cancellation doesn't signal project abandonment. The game remains on track, but pre-orders are temporarily unavailable through Amazon.
