Mortal Kombat 1 Unleashes Conan the Barbarian Gameplay

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive videos showcasing upcoming content. Yesterday's esports trailer featured a brief glimpse of the T-1000, but this iconic Terminator isn't the next playable character. Instead, Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, arriving next week for premium edition owners. Today's release is a gameplay trailer highlighting the Cimmerian's fighting style.

Conan's gameplay showcases a powerful, heavy-hitting approach. His attacks appear devastating, though his lack of agility and speed might be a drawback. His sword's extended reach could compensate for this, however. It will be intriguing to see how he fares against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander.

While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some other MK1 finishers. His acid-drowning move is somewhat underwhelming. Nevertheless, engaging gameplay is paramount, and Conan promises to deliver a unique and fun fighting experience.

Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday, while everyone else must wait until January 28th.
