Neil Druckmann Says 'Don't Bet on' There Being a The Last of Us Part 3

Neil Druckmann, the series creator, has recently poured cold water on any hopes of a third installment in the beloved video game series. In a detailed interview with Variety, which primarily focused on the upcoming *The Last of Us* TV series, Druckmann addressed the possibility of *The Last of Us Part 3* with a definitive statement:

“I was waiting for this question,” he said, with a sigh. “I guess the only thing I would say is don’t bet on there being more of ‘Last of Us.’ This could be it.”

The question now is whether to take Druckmann's words at face value. Currently, Naughty Dog is deeply engaged in developing *Intergalactic*, a new project announced at The Game Awards last December. With no release window in sight, it's clear that *Intergalactic* will occupy the studio for several years, leaving little room for *The Last of Us Part 3* in the near future.
