NieR: Automata boasts a diverse enemy roster, each potentially dropping unique materials crucial for upgrading your pod and weapons. While many materials are acquired naturally during gameplay, some—like Warped Wire—require dedicated farming. This guide pinpoints an efficient Warped Wire farming location.
Where to Farm Warped Wire in NieR: Automata
Warped Wire is a rare drop from stacked bipedal machines. These aren't particularly challenging foes, but their infrequent spawns make farming necessary. The most reliable location is a section of the desert accessible via the Desert Camp fast travel point.
Head towards the main desert area. Before reaching the open expanse, you'll traverse mountainous terrain, following a pipe through some ruins. This area consistently spawns multiple stacked bipedal machines.
Focus on the two small clearings near the ruined buildings. The machines here are predominantly the stacked variant you need. Warped Wire has a decent drop rate; expect one or two per clearing. Equipping a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip significantly accelerates this process.
To expedite farming, utilize these respawning methods:
- Fast Travel: Fast travel away from the area and then back to Desert Camp. This resets all enemies.
- Run Away and Return: Moving a significant distance and returning will also trigger respawns, though fast traveling is considerably faster.
Investing in drop rate increase chips is highly recommended. Many upgrade materials are machine drops, and similar farming strategies are often necessary for weapon upgrades. Movement speed increase chips also improve travel efficiency between fast travel points, offering a small but valuable time saving for tasks like completing race side quests.
