How to Get Paradisan Ladder in Avowed
There are five primary ways to obtain Paradisan Ladder in Avowed: purchasing from Merilyn, foraging during exploration, earning it as a side quest reward, breaking down existing items, and downgrading Hylea's Talon.
Merylin the Merchant

Merilyn, located in South Paradise (see map above), offers the fastest and most reliable method. She typically stocks five Paradisan Ladder units at 150 coins each. She also sells the Many-Hued Doublet and Common Grimoire of Elements, both of which yield additional Paradisan Ladder when broken down (two units each). Note that her inventory doesn't appear to restock.
Find Paradisan Ladder When Exploring in the Wild & in Cities

Paradisan Ladder can be found throughout the game world, both in the wilderness and occasionally in cities like Paradise. Look for the plant icon on your mini-map (red circle in image above) to locate these herbs. While other plants may look similar, actively searching your surroundings during gameplay is a great way to steadily accumulate this resource.
Side Quests
Completing side quests often rewards players with various crafting materials, including Paradisan Ladder. The early quest "Escape Plan," for example, provides two units. While requiring extra effort, this method offers additional experience points and other valuable rewards alongside the herbs.
Breaking Down Items
Many items in Avowed can be broken down at a workbench to recover their constituent materials. This includes items previously upgraded with Paradisan Ladder. Similarly, check merchant inventories for unique items that list Paradisan Ladder as a breakdown component.
Downgrading Hylea’s Talon Into Paradisan Ladder

Once you reach Emerald Stair and acquire Hylea's Talon, you can downgrade each unit into three Paradisan Ladder at your party camp workbench. Navigate to the "Crafting" tab, then select "Downgrade" to perform this conversion. This is particularly useful if you wish to switch weapon types and quickly upgrade a new weapon to match your existing gear.
Now that you know the various methods for obtaining Paradisan Ladder, you're well-equipped to tackle Avowed's challenges. Remember to explore thoroughly, complete side quests, and utilize the workbench effectively to maximize your resource gathering.
