State of Play Set for February 12: PlayStation Updates Await

Author : Penelope Update:Apr 14,2025

Sony has exciting news for gamers: a PlayStation State of Play stream is scheduled for tomorrow, February 12, at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 10pm UK. This eagerly anticipated broadcast will run for over 40 minutes and be available in both English and Japanese via the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels.

While Sony has kept the lineup under wraps, the PlayStation Blog teases "a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world." Fans are buzzing with anticipation for potential updates on several big titles. At the top of many wishlists is an extended look at Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yotei, along with a release date for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Following last week's leak on the PlayStation Store, there's also a strong possibility we'll see the official reveal of the release date trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. As for other potential highlights, while it might be too soon for updates on Insomniac's Wolverine or Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, there are other exciting prospects to keep an eye on.

Phantom: Blade Zero, an exclusive action role-playing game from Chinese studio S-Game, promises thrilling sword combat, and fans are eager to learn its release date. Additionally, Bungie's Marathon and Haven's Fairgames are multiplayer shooters that have garnered interest, especially in light of Sony's recent handling of the Concord situation.

March marks the 10th anniversary of Bloodborne, sparking speculation about potential announcements. Could Sony surprise us with something special for this beloved title?

The State of Play might also bring one or two brand-new game reveals. With ongoing rumors, could this be the moment Halo finally makes its way to PlayStation consoles?
