The latest expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket has brought the much-anticipated shiny variants into the game, introducing over 110 new cards that have me itching to spend my Pack Hourglasses on a 10-pack pull. Named Shining Revelry, this expansion not only dazzles with its new variants but also includes cards from the Paldea region, adding to the excitement.
As soon as the update dropped, I couldn't resist using some of my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. To my delight, I pulled a Charizard EX, although the rest of the haul was less thrilling. However, discovering a Pokemon Center Lady card in the mix provided some comfort. Her ability to heal Special Conditions is a valuable asset, especially when you're facing the debilitating effects of a Burn.
Like previous expansions, Shining Revelry introduces an Emblem event where you can earn new badges to show off to your friends. But the real thrill this time around is the introduction of Ranked Matches. You'll be pitted against other Trainers as you strive to climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your performance will be tracked with points, and at the end of the approximately one-month season, you'll be awarded an emblem based on your achievements. It's time to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting some competitive decks.
