Pokémon GO: Community Day Classic Announced for January 2025

Niantic has revealed Ralts as the star Pokémon for January's Community Day Classic. This guide details the event, including bonuses and in-app purchases.

January's Community Day Classic: Ralts

On January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), Ralts and its Shiny form will have boosted appearance rates.

A special research story for Ralts is available for $2 USD. Completing it rewards a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three Ralts encounters with Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.

Evolving Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within five hours afterward) yields a Gardevoir or Gallade with the powerful Charged Attack "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).

Timed Research offers 4 Sinnoh Stones and a Ralts encounter (Dual Destiny background). Unlike the main Community Day, this research lasts a week post-event.

An Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99 USD) containing 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket is available on the Pokémon GO Web Store from January 21st, 2025, at 10:00 AM (local time).

Two in-game bundles are also offered:

• 1,350 PokéCoins: 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, 5 Lucky Eggs
• 480 PokéCoins: 30 Ultra Balls, 1 Incense, 3 Super Incubators, 1 Lure Module

Pokémon GO's Recurring Monthly Event

Niantic hosts a monthly Community Day Classic, featuring a different Pokémon each month (e.g., November 2024 featured Mankey). These events offer increased encounter rates for the featured Pokémon (including Shiny variants) and an exclusive move for its evolution. Bonuses like reduced egg hatch distance are also common. December's Community Day is a two-day event with multiple Pokémon.
