PUBG Mobile is set to team up with another major musical group, announcing an exciting crossover with the K-pop girl group Babymonster. This event, launching today, also marks the celebration of PUBG Mobile's seventh anniversary, with Babymonster taking the role of the official anniversary ambassador until May 6th.
For K-pop enthusiasts, Babymonster is recognized as the unofficial successors to the iconic girl group Blackpink. Managed by YG Entertainment, they've been steadily climbing the music charts, aiming to uphold the legacy of their predecessors. Now, Babymonster is making their way into the digital battleground of PUBG Mobile, bringing their hit tracks to enhance your battle for supremacy.
The collaboration introduces a variety of new content, including Babymonster-themed photozones inspired by the group's unique aesthetic. Players can also enjoy new emotes, such as the iconic Drip dance, alongside other exclusive in-game features. One highlight is the video buses, which offer the chance to watch exclusive Babymonster videos and earn exciting rewards.
Interestingly, Babymonster's predecessors, Blackpink, also made a notable appearance in PUBG Mobile, introducing themed cosmetics and more. The previous collaboration even featured PUBG Mobile's first-ever in-game concert headlined by Blackpink, showcasing a range of cosmetics and innovative features.
Given this history, it's no surprise that YG Entertainment's next move is to bring their latest sensation to PUBG Mobile. For the game itself, one of its distinguishing features compared to its main competitor, Fortnite, has been its diverse collaborations, ranging from car manufacturers to luggage brands.
