Obtain Radiant Keldeo, Ethereal Meltan via Pokémon Home

Shiny Keldeo and Meltan are now available in Pokémon Home (version 3.2.2 and later), but obtaining them requires completing specific Pokédex entries. This guide details how to acquire these Shiny Pokémon.

Unlocking Shiny Keldeo:

To receive Shiny Keldeo, you must complete the Galar Pokédex in Pokémon Home. This includes Pokémon from Pokémon Sword & Shield, along with those from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Crucially, these Pokémon must possess the Galar origin mark (a slanted Poké Ball icon above their stats) indicating they originated from Sword & Shield or its DLC. Completing the Pokédexes within Sword & Shield itself is insufficient. After completing the Galar Pokédex, select "Mystery Gift" from the main menu (accessed via the three-line menu icon).

There's no time limit to claim Shiny Keldeo.

Unlocking Shiny Meltan:

Similarly, Shiny Meltan is obtained by completing the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon Home, using Pokémon bearing the Let's Go marker (a Pikachu silhouette above their stats) signifying they came from Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee. Once complete, claim Shiny Meltan via the "Mystery Gift" option. Like Keldeo, there's no deadline.

Troubleshooting Pokédex Registration Issues:

If Pokémon aren't registering correctly in your Pokémon Home Pokédex (a common mobile issue), clear the app's cache:

  1. Open the app and select the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner of the title screen.
  2. Choose "Clear Cache."
  3. Confirm by tapping "OK." A confirmation message will appear.

This should resolve registration problems.

Now you can add Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan to your Pokémon collection!
