ReFantazio Game: Series Potential Confirmed

Atlus's Hashino expressed interest in developing a Sengoku period-set game, envisioning it as a new Japanese role-playing game potentially similar to the Basara series. He confirmed no current plans for a Metaphor: ReFantazio sequel, prioritizing the game's completion. Initially conceived as a third major RPG series alongside Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, Hashino aims for Metaphor: ReFantazio to become a flagship Atlus title. While a sequel is unlikely, an anime adaptation is under discussion. Metaphor: ReFantazio boasts Atlus's most successful platform launch to date, surpassing 85,961 concurrent users, significantly outperforming Persona 5 Royal (35,474) and Persona 3 Reload (45,002). The game is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
