The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents players with rewarding, yet challenging, tasks. One particularly tricky challenge involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide provides a straightforward solution.
Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher, then repairing a broken object. The difficulty lies in locating a broken item. Instead of searching, create a broken object yourself.
The most efficient method is to repeatedly use a cheap item until it breaks. The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive option. Using it approximately a dozen times will cause it to malfunction, thus becoming a "broken object." This can be done by your Sim directly or by having other Sims use it.
Once your toilet is broken and your Handiness skill is at level 2, simply select the "Repair" interaction on the broken object. After a short time, the repair will be complete, resolving the Blast from the Past challenge.
