Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections!
EA and Maxis are marking The Sims' 25th anniversary with a fantastic gift: The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 are back on PC! Available now are The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, individually or bundled together for $40 in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.
These comprehensive collections include nearly all expansion and stuff packs for both games. While The Sims 2: Legacy Collection omits the 2008 IKEA Home Stuff pack, it still offers a substantial amount of content. Both collections even include bonus content: The Sims 1 gets the Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 receives a Grunge Revival Kit.
This marks the first time in over a decade that both games have been easily accessible. The Sims 1 was originally only available on disc, making it virtually impossible to play on modern systems without a physical copy. The Sims 2, while previously available through an Ultimate Collection on Origin, was later removed. Now, with these Legacy Collections, all four main Sims games are readily available digitally.
Originally reviewed with scores of 9.5/10 (The Sims 1) and 8.5/10 (The Sims 2), these classic titles retain their charm, offering a simpler, yet challenging and nostalgic experience compared to their modern counterparts. Their unique charm and gameplay make them well worth revisiting.
The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
