Announced back in June 2020, with glimpses and teasers since, skate. is finally ready for its console playtest phase on PlayStation and Xbox. While a PC beta date hasn't been confirmed, you can still register as an Insider to stay updated.
The official skate. X (formerly Twitter) account hints at ongoing console playtesting since at least December, possibly even September, as evidenced by a recent highlight reel. However, developer Full Circle encourages everyone to sign up, as development continues actively.
To join the beta, visit EA's official website and navigate to the skate. page to register for the Skate Insider Playtesting program. Besides early access to the game, Insiders will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.
skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, landing on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, this free-to-play, live-service game promises an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed by Full Circle in a previous YouTube interview.
