Get Ready for the Splitgate 2 Open Alpha Test!

Following several Closed Alpha tests, Splitgate 2 is opening its doors to everyone with a new Open Alpha Test. This highly anticipated sequel, revealed in 2024, will be available for all platforms.

When Does the Open Alpha Begin?

The Open Alpha Test kicks off on February 27th, 2025, and runs until March 2nd, 2025, for both console and PC players.

How to Join the Splitgate 2 Open Alpha:

Starting February 27th:

  1. Visit your preferred digital storefront (Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, etc.).
  2. Search for "Splitgate 2".
  3. Download the Crossplay Alpha Test.

What Awaits You in the Open Alpha?

The Open Alpha will showcase the game's core crossplay functionality and introduce the thrilling new "Multi-Team Portal Warfare" mode. This massive 24-player mode, featuring three teams of eight, takes place on Splitgate's largest map yet. Expect to experiment with new weapons, perks, and equipment alongside the classic, chaotic Splitgate gameplay.

While new classes with unique abilities will be introduced in the full game, the iconic portal mechanic remains central to the Alpha experience. Developer 1047 Games emphasizes that player feedback has heavily influenced Splitgate 2's development, aiming to create a landmark experience in the FPS genre.
