Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts a diverse arsenal, allowing players to tailor their loadout to their preferred combat style. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with enhanced stats and modifications exist, including the Cavalier sniper rifle. This distinctive weapon features a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, making it ideal for close-to-medium range engagements. Here's how to acquire this powerful addition to your inventory.
Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle
The Cavalier is located within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to a greenhouse near the Military Unit. You may already be familiar with this area if you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash. Access is easiest via the secondary entrance.
Accessing the Warehouse
Upon entering Duga, proceed towards the Military Unit building (marked on your map). Circumvent the building to reach the greenhouse at its rear. Be wary of two Pseudogiants patrolling the area; they're aggressive and will attack on sight. Approach cautiously to avoid an unnecessary confrontation.
Once inside the greenhouse, enter the connecting warehouse. Prepare for a swarm of rats upon entry; they'll inflict damage quickly. Utilize the elevated green platforms at the warehouse's rear to gain a tactical advantage and avoid constant rodent attacks. A grenade can effectively eliminate the infestation.
Retrieving the Cavalier
After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. Locate the yellow-painted wooden boards. Destroy these boards using your weapon; the Cavalier sniper rifle will drop from above.
After acquiring the Cavalier, you can upgrade it with Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further enhanced through upgrades and modifications. The Cavalier's red-dot sight makes it a versatile choice for players who prefer a scope-less sniper rifle, effective in both close-quarters and medium-range combat.
