S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Roadmap for Q2 2025
Updates Every 3 Months
GSC Gameworld, the developers behind S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, have shared their latest roadmap and committed to delivering updates every three months. The official STALKER Twitter (X) account announced this on April 14, detailing the roadmap for Q2 2025.
The roadmap will be segmented into quarterly updates, with each update accompanied by patch notes to verify the implementation of the planned features in the game.
Following the successful Q1 updates that addressed major issues and deployed multiple hotfixes, GSC Gameworld aims to continue enhancing the game based on community feedback. Here’s what fans can look forward to in the upcoming updates:
- Beta Mod SDK Kit
- A-Life/AI Updates
- Mutant Loot
- Shader Compilation Skip
- Player Stash Window Increase
- Wide Screen Aspect Ratio Support
- 2 New Weapons
- Further Stabilization, Optimization, and "Anomalies" Fixing
- STALKER Original Trilogy Next-Gen Update
Beta Mod SDK Kit, A-Life Updates, and More
GSC Gameworld has outlined the updates they plan to implement, with a special focus on two major areas: the Beta Mod SDK Kit and further enhancements to the A-Life system. They intend to conduct a closed beta with mod makers to refine the ModKit before its public release. Additionally, they aim to integrate Mod.io and Steam Workshop to facilitate modding.
The A-Life System, crucial for the game's NPC AI and simulation, will see continuous updates. Following a massive 110 GB update for the Christmas patch last year, the developers are set to introduce "persistent A-Life improvements" and "smarter human combat; better cover/flanking use, limited grenades."
Further enhancements include updates to the game's mutants, which will now consume corpses and respond to threats. Other planned features include the introduction of mutant loot, the ability to skip shader compilation, an expanded player stash window, support for wide screen aspect ratios, the addition of two new unspecified weapons, and ongoing efforts towards stabilization and optimization.
Additionally, fans of the original STALKER trilogy can look forward to a next-gen update. More details on these updates will be shared as their release dates approach. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is currently available on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Stay tuned to our updates for the latest news on the game!
